Ganja State University
Ganja State University, or GDU in short, is a higher education institution affiliated with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The institute was established to train teachers in the western region of Azerbaijan. The institute has become a full-fledged higher education institution since 1943 and is named after Hasan Bey Zardabi, the distinguished educator and public figure of Azerbaijan.
The university was founded in 1938 as the two-year Ganja Teachers Institute. After 5 years of its operation, it continued as the Ganja State Pedagogical Institute named after H. Zardabi, which provided full higher education. It has been operating as Ganja State University since 2000. Education at the university is provided at undergraduate (full-time 4 years, part-time 5 years) and master's degree (2 years) levels.
Located in the central part of Ganja, the institute has 3 educational buildings and dormitories on its student campus.
The university has 3 educational buildings, a library, a gym, a dormitory and an information center equipped with modern computer equipment. "Cisco Network Academy - GSU branch", which operates by applying distance education methods at the university, serves to train students as experts in the field of modern information and communication technologies.
