T.C. Erzurum Ataturk University
Ataturk University was founded in Erzurum in 1957.
It is the seventh oldest university in Turkey. It is the sixth date on which the Constitution Law was published in the Official Gazette.
Located 1.5-2 km from the city center of Erzurum, Ataturk University's campus is situated 150 meters away, covering an area of 6.5 million m² of open space and 1 million m² of closed space. The university area, which covers a large part of the Erzurum plain, is the second largest city in Turkey. It holds the distinction of being Turkey's first planned campus.
The university hospital located in the center serves as an important healthcare center for the entire Eastern Anatolia and Eastern Black Sea regions. Similarly, the Faculty of Dentistry Hospital accepts a large number of patients from the Eastern Anatolia and Eastern Black Sea regions. The university hosts important healthcare centers in the region.
