The master's program in Linguistics (Russian) at Nakhchivan State University (NSU) provides specialization in Russian linguistics, comparative linguistics and translation. For students who know Russian, it is a specialization that opens the door to CIS markets.
Nakhchivan State University (NSU) is the state university of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, on the border with Turkey, founded in 1967: 10 faculties, 43 departments, 528 faculty members, about 12,000 students and a 108-hectare campus. As of December 2025, more than 1,200 of its 1,693 international students are Turkish citizens. The Master's and Doctoral Center runs all graduate programs; Nakhchivan is a few hours by road from Iğdır and Kars.
Admission requires a bachelor's diploma in a related field and a transcript; for international students, document evaluation and an interview replace the entrance exam. The program lasts 2 years (4 semesters, 120 ECTS) and is completed with a course period, pedagogical or research practice and the defense of the thesis (magistr dissertasiyası). The language of instruction is Azerbaijani.
